Power to the people

iFi Audio PowerStation is a power strip specially designed for audio/video setups for six components and has an active built-in mains filter. Whereas most network filters use passive filtering, iFi has developed an active way of noise reduction. In addition to the filtering, the PowerStation also protects against harmful spikes and over-voltage via the mains.

iFi PowerStation is equipped with the completely renewed Active Noise Cancellation II. iFi ‚reverses‘ the network pollution to actively eliminate it. This technology is similar to the way noise cancellation from headphones work. With this, iFi Audio achieves a noise reduction of -40 dB. After this, the mains voltage is also passively filtered at every connection, so that high-frequency network pollution from one of the connected components is not distributed via the mains plugs.

By using RFI/EMI filtering from the mains, this way premium audio components benefit directly from this in the music reproduction. The result is in an increase in dynamics, openness, precision and detail, but above all more ‚black‘ in the reproduction. Finally, the iFi PowerStation has a smart indicator that indicates whether the mains plug is connected with the correct polarity. In this way, the PowerStation prevents potential ground loops and hum that can occur with the wrong polarity.
